A new year has begun and with it a great opportunity to renew your purpose. Sometimes life gets extremely busy and we forget what we set out to do.

So what will you be focused on this year?

Is it to start that new business that you’ve wanted for some time?

Is it to spend more time with your kids or loved ones?

Since you may have missed the mark in the past in accomplishing your purpose, the second best time to start is now.

It’s a great time to get started. In fact, one of my purposes this year is to help and encourage Christian (my son) to create and grow his business.

It is my job to fuel his passion now that he’s young so he’s better prepared as he grows older.

He’ll know that any dream is worth pursuing since my wife and I are supporting him in his passions and purpose.

Another one of my purposes is to support my wife completely in her pursuit for a teaching degree. That means that it is my role to lighten her load at home to give her the time needed for her schooling.

The thing is, when you identify and fulfill your purpose, you empower others to do the same. It puts something powerful in motion that can’t be stopped.

Who’s life will your purpose impact? What are you willing to do to change your life in 2011?

Believe me when I tell you that chasing your purpose will be the open door to the life you’ve wanted while others benefit as well.
